A series of faults caused by insufficient repair of synchronization gears 1. Case background A customer had a self-repaired Roots blower that experienced abnormal vibration and sound during startup and operation, and was forced to shut down, which affected production. Preliminary inspection of the equipment showed that the vibration value on the drive side seriously exceeded the standard. The customer then sent the equipment to our company for in-depth disassembly and repair. 2. Fault phenomenon and preliminary judgment After the equipment arrived at the factory, our maintenance engineers conducted a preliminary operation test (under the premise of ensuring safety), and found that the vibration at the drive end was indeed large, far exceeding the standard value. Based on experience, our engineers judged that the root cause of the fault was likely to be rotor dynamic balance failure, bearing damage, or rotor meshing problems, and decided to immediately disassemble and inspect it. 3. 1. Compressor maintenance case analysis Recently, a customer sent a screw compressor to the factory for maintenance. The customer reported that the machine had a problem of low oil pressure and shut down, and then the equipment became stuck. After disassembly and inspection by the maintenance department, it was found that the radial and axial bearings at the exhaust end of the male rotor were damaged due to lack of oil, and the oil holes in the oil injection plate were also blocked. It was analyzed that the direct cause of bearing damage was that the customer failed to replace the old oil filter in time during use, causing the remaining impurities inside the oil filter to enter the oil system as the equipment was running. Since the injection plate is located at the end of the oil system and the diameter of the injection hole is small, these impurities can easily block the injection hole, causing a series of failures.
